Say hello to our outside sales guru, Greg Tomaszewski.
Greg’s been an integral part of the Capital Electric team for nearly 4 decades, crisscrossing the state to meet our customers face-to-face. When he’s not out selling, he’s a fan of hitting the link when the weather cooperates and honing his ability to pick up spares at the lanes.
Let’s jump into the conversation.
What’s your role at Capital Electric and what are your primary responsibilities?
I’m an outside salesperson, committed to building relationships and finding the right solutions for the people who trust us to help them get the job done.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Simply interacting with our customers and creating those lasting connections is the best part for me.
How would you describe the team culture at Capital Electric?
In a word: Evolving.
I’ve been at Capital Electric for quite some time now and a core part of the culture here is the willingness and enthusiasm to change and evolve with the times. Being a step ahead in that respect and being able to offer solutions that solve problems for our customers today and tomorrow.
What challenges have you faced in your role?
As a regional company and sales team, we’re up against national and global competitors with much larger inventories and resources. It’s a helluva challenge, but we differentiate ourselves from the big guys with our commitment to being genuine partners with our customers.
For me it’s pretty straightforward, it’s about treating customers how I’d like to be treated.
What does a typical day look like for you at Capital Electric?
There really isn’t a typical day at Capital Electric – which is what keeps things interesting!
Most of my days are spent working directly with our customers, fielding requests and working hand-in-hand to get them a solution that fits their project specs and budget as quickly as possible.
It’s a process of putting myself in their shoes.
What inspired you to pursue a career here?
The pursuit of bettering myself, finding solutions for our customers and in the process, helping Capital Electric grow.
