Capital in the Community
Capital in the Community 2026
Charity and community involvement are core to our culture, something we even make sure to share with folks we’re considering hiring to ensure they fit with that spirit of camaraderie, teamwork and service.
To that end, every January we start the year with a meeting where everyone chooses a charity and shares a bit about why it’s meaningful to them. As a team, we decide which of those organizations we’ll support for each of the 12 months of the year.
We’ve found that nothing has helped us build a stronger, more caring team than being a part of the fundraising events we choose to support together.
More importantly, it brings us closer to the community we all live in. Spending time with those raising funds for causes near and dear to their hearts creates more than just a deep bond.
It creates hope – something we can always use more of.
It’s truly enlightening and encouraging for all of us.
Every year we have our largest annual fundraiser, our Brat Fry in July, supporting either the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) or the Wisconsin Humane Society.
This will be our 6th year and it’s become a must-attend event at this point with raffle prizes, and well, epic brats. It’s the definition of a team event too, where we handle everything from purchasing to putting together door prizes to cooking and serving food and even promotion around town with signs and flyers.
Not only a fun-filled day but a wonderful way we can give back to the area and people we love.
And that’s what it’s all about, having an impact and taking part in building a stronger community through service.
