Hanwha’s latest lineup upgrade brings more power to the edge, the cloud, and your VMS

Hanwha Unveils Smarter Surveillance Tools at ISC West 2025
This year’s ISC West wasn’t about hype—it was about solving the real challenges integrators face every day: system downtime, manual video workflows, and the constant pressure to do more with less. Hanwha’s latest updates are purpose-built to help security teams simplify operations, speed up insights and stay ahead of problems.
Hanwha Vision rolled out three standout releases built to do just that:
- A new System on a Chip (SoC) powering their next generation of AI-ready cameras
- A cloud-based health monitoring tool that puts device uptime and performance front and center
- A sleek upgrade to their WAVE VMS, now faster, smarter and even more intuitive
Each release targets a different piece of the surveillance puzzle, but they share a common goal: to make security smarter and easier to manage.
Wisenet 9: Built for AI at the edge
Hanwha’s newest generation of cameras is powered by the Wisenet 9 System on a Chip (SoC)—a proprietary processor designed and manufactured in-house. This chip forms the foundation of the latest P and X series cameras, delivering clearer images, stronger analytics, and better security.
The Wisenet 9 platform improves low-light performance and sharpens detail with AI-enhanced noise reduction. It also includes AI-Driven Extreme Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) to maintain visibility and detail in bright or dark areas.
What sets it apart further is the onboard intelligence. The chip supports advanced analytics such as:
Color, age and gender detection
Real-time object classification (i.e., person, vehicle)
Motion clarity enhancements through Preferred Shutter technology
The cameras are also built with FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified security for encrypted key storage and enhanced device protection, which is critical for compliance-focused environments.
Wisenet 9 isn’t just a camera upgrade, it’s an imaging platform designed for high-performance, AI-supported video applications.
HealthPro: Cloud-based system health monitoring
HealthPro gives IT teams a centralized, cloud-based view of every device in their surveillance ecosystem – from camera status to firmware updates and overall uptime.
It’s designed to eliminate the guesswork. You’ll know when something goes offline, when updates fail or when a device configuration needs attention – without needing to be on-site.
Why it matters:
- Real-time alerts for device connectivity and performance issues
- Scalable for both single-site and multi-site environments
- Centralized dashboard for remote health monitoring
With HealthPro, system management shifts from reactive to proactive – a major win for efficiency, uptime and long-term reliability.
WAVE 6.0: Lightweight, flexible and built to scale
Hanwha’s Wisenet WAVE continues to deliver what integrators want most in a VMS: simplicity, reliability, and flexibility across environments.
The latest version, WAVE 6.0, brings several smart upgrades focused on user access, connectivity and streamlined control.
Key improvements include:
- Redesigned user management tools for better permission control
- Upgraded calendar for more intuitive event navigation
- Cloud-based email support for easier alerting and communications
Additional enhancements like LDAP integration, temporary users and camera linking with teleport make it even easier to manage distributed teams and devices, without heavy infrastructure.
WAVE installs in minutes, runs on any OS and supports mobile, desktop and browser-based control through WAVE Sync.
It's everything you'd expect from a modern, cross-platform VMS – with no added complexity.
