Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

Rather than discarding your electronic devices and their related components, which includes your cables and wires, we want to invite you to e-cycle them through Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin's E-Cycle Program.

According to Goodwill, e-waste is the most rapidly growing segment of the municipal solid waste stream. With the rapid pace of technology, the life cycle of these electronic components is getting shorter and shorter, creating more e-waste than ever before.

And, as you know, there are a number of valuable materials that can be recycled and reused from these items. Not to mention the additional conservation of natural resources and energy needed to produce new equipment.

The EPA estimates that recycling one million laptops saves the energy equivalent to the electricity used by more than 3,500 U.S. homes in a year. Here’s another way to think of it, for every one million cell phones we recycle, the EPA estimates that 35 thousand pounds of copper, 772 pounds of silver, 75 pounds of gold and 33 pounds of palladium can be recovered.

At Capital, we believe that e-cycling through Goodwill is one of the best things we can do as good corporate citizens. If you agree, here are common items they will accept:
